I have known Martin Panteleev for over 10 years and follow his impressive development as a complete musician  (violinist, composer, conductor). In 2009 I had the pleasure to see him as conductor of the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra. Our musical collaboration in Dvorak's Cello Concerto was extremely intense and inspiring. His abilities as a sensitive accompanist but also excellent motivator are beyond doubt. His performance of "Petrouchka" aftert the break, convinced all along with rhythmic perfection and wonderful dynamic contrasts.

In May 2008 I was invited as soloist of the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra
and worked with the conductor Martin Panteleev. He was my
musical partner in Mozart concerto and Busoni's Divertimento. After the break I heard the
Brahms first symphony under his leadership.
Already at the beginning I could feel his strong, mentally and emotional
musicality. Through his clear gestures and body language Martin Panteleev succeeds to transmit this qualities
to the orchestra. He impressed me by the self-evident
direction and showed much more experience than I would have expected from a conductor of his age.

I visited him again in March 2009 at his festival in Barth, Germany and could see his talents as Violinst. The imagination and the colors he elicits from his violin are spectacular. His musical fantasy has a very deepstructure which one would not encounter so often

Martin Panteleev is an outstanding talented conductor with whom I have had the pleasure to perform numerous times on different prestigious stages around Europe. A special event which I would never forget was our tour with Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra, where he led us every single concert to highest artistic  level with moments of surreal musical beauty. Martin has also a brilliant technique, together with clear musical vision and impeccable taste. That makes him an young conductor worth watching and hearing.
